KATYA is a specialist colour and cutting salon in Sydney's Eastern Suburbs, built on techniques rarely found in Australia. Air Touch, with grow-out so seamless your appointments become less frequent, not more. The Grey Camouflage Method, a rare Eastern European technique where the secret is in the mix: colour that holds its cool tone for months and grows out without a trace. And colour corrections - the transformations other salons consider impossible.

Behind KATYA

Award winning colourist and avant garde hairdresser, AHIA FINALIST, Kateryna Gribinyuchenko, air touch educator and editorial visionary of hairdressing in Australia

Behind the salon is founder Kateryna Gribinyuchenko, a sought-after colourist and educator with over ten years in the industry and multiple awards. As part of the Joico artistic team for Australasia, she teaches Air Touch to stylists across NSW and Australia.

Kateryna trained in some of Sydney's top salons, then sought out the Eastern European masters behind the techniques she's known for: cutter Erte Quoob (Kyiv), colourists Olga Dementeva (St Petersburg) and Igor Khonin (Moscow), and Egor Enin, creator of the original camouflage technique. Her session work includes Australian Fashion Week and event styling at the Sydney Opera House.
